It is quite obvious that in Miss Universe, countries in the Americas have the upper hand. In contrast to Miss World (in which the most successful countries belong to different continents), the top 3 most successful nations in Miss Universe are all in the Americas.
However, in recent years, the audience also witnessed the victories of countries outside the region, such as the Philippines (2015) and France (2016).
